MORNING 2 (afternoon 2)
August 1, 2026
A poem a day is not a comfort
More like a notice I cannot live to
Up on my low bar, just about done for
I did it before but now it feels new
This skill I’ve deemed talent now to be trained
Is not a comparison of my past
The heart is a funny drug, often said
Its warmth, the rust, I say it does not last
If you get after it, morning again
Morning again, go after it, take pride
In dedication to fun and the pen
Let it be what you want to be, the vibe
Of rigorous good life from here on out
Confusion distilled, its poetry now
